Found in Sparta.
The poor condition of the statue is the result of the collapse of the building in which was erected, cause by fire and was not attributed to Damnatio memoriae (posthumous condemnation involving the destruction of images and erasing the name of the condemned person from the public monuments). There is no evidence that Julia Aquilia suffered Damnatio memoriae.
